Requirements when travelling to the Netherlands from Brazil

As of 4 September 2021, a number of important changes came into effect for people travelling to the Netherlands. New countries have been designated as high-risk or very high-risk area, and at the moment Brazil is designated as very high-risk area.

Before travelling to the Netherlands, please check this information. Prepare your journey well. Before you leave, check the travel advice: in Dutch or in English.


Requirements when travelling to the Netherlands from Brazil:

  1. Vaccine Declaration

  2. Negative test result (proof of vaccination or recovery is not sufficient; no more than 72 hours before departure - in Portuguese, English or Spanish)

  3. Health Declaration (Declaração de Saúde do Viajante, DSV)


From 22 September onwards, you do not need to quarantine if you are fully vaccinated. Quarantine information.

The rules on self-quarantining for people travelling to the Netherlands will change as of 22 September. Vaccinated travelers from the United States, the United Kingdom and other very high-risk areas including Brazil do no longer have to self-quarantine on arrival in the Netherlands.
