Dutcham YPRO - Contributing to the careers of our young talents

Within Dutcham we value the involvement and commitment of our young professionals. We believe that the strength of our future lies partly in the development, motivation and involvement of our young people. At Dutcham, their opinion counts. One of the ambitions within Dutcham is to be able to actively contribute to the careers of our young talents.

In 2019, the “Dutcham YPRO” was established – a group of young professionals who are currently working with or within one of our Dutch companies in Brazil. These youngsters are gathered and connected through various network events, activities tailored to their specific fields of interest. As from mid-2020, we gave them a unique platform to express their ambition and expectations through the “Dutcham YPRO Committee”. A dynamic team of young Brazilians and Dutch – working in various functions & industries – represent their organization in this YPRO Committee and actively contribute to the special YPRO events.

Dutcham Orange Academy - Sharing, learning & growing

The first edition of the “Orange Academy” was organised in the first semester of 2021, in partnership with Nuffic Neso Brazil and Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in the Netherlands.

This training programme focused on selected young talents from our Orange Members (1 candidate per member-company), and Nuffic Neso’s alumni network (5 candidates). During two months and throughout 8 sessions, our “leaders of tomorrow” were invited to share, learn and grow together on a number of different strategic topics.

As part of the program, the youngsters had to present a final graduation project during the closing session. Five groups presented their vision and strategy towards the CEOs of the Dutch companies, people from the Dutch diplomatic corps and the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. The group on “Mission & Purpose” won the competition and will be invited for a discovery & learning week in the Netherlands when travel is allowed.
