The Dutch are celebrated for their pioneering spirit. From waterworks to agriculture and chips, Dutch companies have consistently led the charge in innovation, setting the pace for the rest of the world.

In a bid to cultivate this vibrant culture in Brazil, Dutcham established the Innovation Committee in 2023. This committee is not just a platform, but a powerful catalyst designed to enhance the innovative prowess of Dutch companies. It does this by fostering an environment of knowledge sharing and expertise in innovation. But the committee’s impact extends beyond this. It also actively bridges the gap between Dutch companies and local innovation ecosystems, creating a dynamic network of collaboration and growth. This is Dutcham’s commitment to not only maintaining but also elevating the Dutch legacy of innovation in Brazil.

Putting knowledge to practice

Today, 14 important Dutch companies based in Brazil actively participate in this quarterly working group, under the supervision of our “Committee Ambassador” Mauricio Adade (President LATAM, Africa & Global Malnutrition Partnerships at DSM). The committee is chaired by Mr. Caspar van Rijnback (Innovation consultant).

This year, in addition to our regular meetings, the committee is charting an exciting course to visit an innovation center. This will provide us with a firsthand experience of how organizations beyond our membership circle approach and manage innovation, enriching our understanding and perspective.
